With an increment and rapidness in the screenings, more and more COVID-19 patients are being uncovered every day giving rise to the aggregate digits of the cases nationwide.
India has crossed the benchmark of 30,000 COVID-19 cases by now. According to the ministry of health and welfare, we had 31,332 cases on Wednesday and of course, the counting is going on. 1,897 COVID-19 positive cases and 73 casualties have been reported in the last 24 hours(as by 8 am today). The death toll in the country has risen to 1,008 while we’re improving on the recovery rates with 7,797 patients recovered from the total cases till now.
Maharashtra continues to top the list for reporting the highest COVID-19 cases to date with over 9000+ cases and also in the death tolls with a total of 400 casualties registered. Gujarat comes next with 3,774 cases and 181 casualties. Then follows Delhi with 3,314 cases and 54 casualties, Madhya Pradesh with 2,561 cases, and 119 casualties reported. Telangana recently crossed 2,000-mark for confirmed COVID-19 positive cases and has reported 26 casualties as for now. Other states are moderately growing in cases and a milder number of casualties comparatively. The states exempted from coronavirus cases presently are Goa, Tripura, and Manipur. Arunachal Pradesh has encountered only one patient until now who is kept under treatment and ought to be cured soon. Goa had seven reported cases earlier which are now cured according to the Health Ministry data shown.
The US is in severe affliction with more than one million COVID-19 cases and death tolls approaching 60,000.
This virus has been able to infect as much as 3.1 million people across the globe for now and we don’t know how much more is there yet in store with 200,000 deaths already.
