Did We Win Medals To See Such Days? Wrestler Vinesh Phogat Breaks Down

The wrestlers, who have been staging a sit-in at Jantar Mantar since April 23, alleged that they were bringing folding beds as their mattresses got wet due to rain but the police did not allow that.

New Delhi: Top Wrestler Vinesh Phogat separated live on camera tonight after certain individuals from the gathering she is fighting with were supposedly messed up by a Delhi Police faculty. “Did we win awards to see this day,” she expressed attempting to keep down tears.

The dissenters claimed an “inebriated” police official went after two grapplers affected by liquor, while his partners were quiet observers. “That cop was pushing and pushing everybody,” said Ms Phogat.

“We are not hoodlums that they are acting like this with us,” she added. She also scrutinized the shortfall of ladies cops on the spot. “I was manhandled and moved around by cops. Where are the lady’s police staff” asked Ms Phogat.

A close-to-home Bajrang Punia, who has won four awards at the World Wrestling Titles, told NDTV: “I demand the public authority to take every one of my decorations back”.

The Wrestler, who has been organizing a demonstration at Jantar Mantar since April 23, claimed that they were bringing collapsing beds as their sleeping cushions got wet because of downpours yet the police didn’t permit that.

Three individuals, including Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Somnath Bharti, were kept following the episode, police said, adding Mr. Bharti came to the dissent site with collapsing beds without authorization.

“On being gotten some information about the beds, his allies became forceful and attempted to get the beds from a truck. Hence, a minor fight occurred following which Bharti, alongside two others, was confined,” the police said.

The police have fixed the Jantar Mantar region after the episode and nobody will be permitted to enter the dissent site, which recorded the participation of a few resistance pioneers, and meet the grapplers.

The grapplers have evened out charges of lewd behavior against Wrestling League of India (WFI) boss Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. They have been requesting a shocking act against Mr. Singh, a BJP MP from Uttar Pradesh, for the supposed lewd behavior and terrorizing of seven female grapplers, one of whom is a minor.
