If You Buy A PS 5 Console In India Before Official Launch It Will Not Have Any Qarranty

All PlayStation 5 consoles that have been imported to India won’t be covered by a guarantee, according to reports. In this way, on the off chance that you are considering purchasing the new PlayStation 5 (PS5) console from an unauthorized reseller because you cannot wait for the official launch – don’t do it. All the PS5 console being sold before the official launch won’t be covered by any guarantee.

While we do know that the PS5 console is coming to India, since we know the official costs ( ₹49,990 for the regular edition and by ₹39,990 for the advanced release), but there is no delivery date yet.

Since most gamers and fans are more than eager to get their hands on the new console, importers are selling the PS5 on the grey market. some of these consoles are selling for more than ₹90,000 and without a valid warranty.

To avail the warranty benefits and services in India, the PS5 console needs to have the official Sony India warranty card. For this, obviously, you will need to buy the PS5 from authorised and official sellers .

A Sony representative told MensXP – “We advise our customers to check for the official Sony India Warranty card at the time of purchase to avail warranty benefits within India and in this context, it is important to note that PlayStation products marketed by Sony India are certified based on India safety standards stipulated by BIS.”

All PlayStation products that have been advertised by Sony India, and will be promoted,are certified by Indian safety standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Anyone trying to jump the queue and buying the consoles before they are officially launched in the country will not be able to avail the warranty or services In India – for things to work officially, you need the Indian warranty.

This is not surprising because other consoles like the older PlayStation 4 and Xbox One also did not support international warranty.

If you are planning to buy the new PS5 consoles, make sure you buy them from Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, ShopatSC.com, Reliance Digital or Games The Shop when it officially launches in the country.
