The four sadhus from Uttar Pradesh had asked a kid for course while en route to the sanctuary town of Pandharpur from Karnataka’s Bijapur, which prompted local people thinking that they might be from a posse that grabs youngsters, news organization PTI revealed refering to the police.

The police observed that the sadhus were the individuals from an ‘akhada’ in Uttar Pradesh, it said.

Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam censured the episode and said the state government won’t endure such “misconduct” with the sadhus. Severe move will be made against the denounced, he said in a video message.

Naming the attack as an endeavor to kill the sadhus, representative Anand Dube said the public authority should explain assuming it is with the Hindus or quit imagining that they are “Hinduvadi”.

“While the public authority professes to be supportive of Hindu and that it safeguards Hindus, sadhus are being attacked in Sangli. It was not difficult to even out charges when we were in power – that our administration was against Hindu. The public authority should make a perception and take harsh move against the charged,” he said.
