Police Case Against Wrestlers After They Tried To March To New Parliament

The wrestlers have been accused of rioting, unlawful assembly, causing an obstruction in the duty of a public servant, among other things.

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have recorded bodies of evidence against fighting grapplers, blaming them for revolting, hours after visuals of its staff mistreating Olympians and Region Games champions in the public capital stunned the country. The grapplers have been blamed for revolting, unlawful get-together, and blocking local officials from carrying out their responsibility. All grapplers partaking in the dissent, including Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, and Bajrang Punia, have been named for the situation.

The case was documented hours after the nonconformists were confined by the Delhi Police as they endeavored a dissent walk. Disorder had unfurled under two kilometers from the new parliament, as it was being introduced by the Head of the state Narendra Modi.

Recordings from the spot showed the bosses being pushed, pushed, nailed to the cold earth, and hauled into transports – – setting off shock the nation over. The strain had heightened when the grapplers, driven by Vinesh Phogat and her cousin Sangeeta Phogat, endeavored to penetrate the security blockades set up by the police.

The competitors had arranged a ladies’ gathering close to the new parliament as a feature of their dissent against BJP MP and head of the nation’s wrestling organization Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, blaming him for physically hassling a portion of the top grapplers.

The protesters, who have been exploring nature out at Jantar Mantar – Delhi’s assigned dissent site – – for almost a month, have been requesting his evacuation.

Recently, the pro grapplers claimed that a gathering of plastered Delhi Police faculty designated them when they needed to get bedding to rest on a stormy day. The cops beat them up and mishandled the lady’s grapplers, they had said.

Several grapplers were hit on the head and two of them sustained injuries. One person had to be taken to the hospital.

The Delhi Police had denied any wrongdoing and said no force was used against the protesters. The police also claimed that five police personnel sustained injuries in the altercation.

Today’s events drew strong condemnation from the Opposition, which boycotted the ceremony at parliament, accusing the BJP-led government of insulting the President of India by having PM Modi inaugurate the building.

Congress’ Rahul Gandhi tweeted a video of the grapplers’ confinement, inscribing it, “The royal celebration is finished – the ‘presumptuous lord’ is smashing the voice of general society in the city!”.

Unequivocally censure the manner in which Delhi Police mistreated Sakshi Malik, Vinesh Phogat, and different grapplers. It’s despicable our heroes are treated as such. A majority rules government lies in resilience yet totalitarian powers blossom with prejudice and controlling of contradiction. I request they are quickly delivered by police. I stand by our grapplers,” tweeted Bengal Boss Priest Mamata Banerjee.

The Delhi Police, which had sloped up safety efforts at Jantar Mantar, in front of the present fights, later cleared the site.
