PUBG Mobile got banned in India late June, and ever since the company has been trying to figure out ways to return to the country with the largest player base in the world. After severing ties with Tencent, we saw PUBG Corp’s parent company Karfton sign a deal with Microsoft Azure to host its PUBG games.
This not only “got rid” of the Chinese connection that the game was banned for, it also ensured that user data would not be on any server with a Chinese connection. While this, on paper, deals with the issues the Indian government had with the app, reports have it that it might be a while before things fall into place.
Recently we saw the official announcement from PUBG Corp that PUBG Mobile is working on coming back to India with an India-specific version of the battle royale. We have already seen teasers for PUBG Mobile India and the full trailer is expected soon. And added to that, according to a MySmartPrice report, some users have spotted the PUBG Mobile India APK download link on the official website.
