Realme to launch smartwatch

Realme which has made its market presence in the forms of smartphones has finally launched its first smart watch after a long wait. Realme had left no stones unturned for marketing the launch and had come up with many teasers before the launch to intrigue the buyer.

This watch is called the “Realme Watch” and comes with colored touchscreen with a 2.5D glasstop and comes with a PPG sensor to monitor heart rates. It also comes with various sports modes.

The smart watch is smart enough to get you get notifications of Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp and notifies you for new SMS and calls. It can also control the music, unlock your phone, click pictures with just a shutter click on the watch.

However, there is no option to receive the call as it doesn’t come with a microphone but you can see who is calling you and can even reject the call easily by it. There are a total of 12 themes of the face of the watch, however about 100 updates have been promised by the company in future through OTA (Over The Air) update.

The watch interface is that of 1.4 inches or 320*320 pixels and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Hence the usage will be very smooth, similar to that of a smartphone. There is a IP68-certified water and resistance guarantee with a three axis accelerometer with PPG support.

It supports Bluetooth and can also. Connect to those mobile phones who have the Lollipop version of mobile phones or even more. This can also be updated with from Realme App Store.

The battery life of the Realme Watch is also fairly decent. It comes with about 160 mAh battery life. This can make the watch run non-stop for a straight week without stopping. The power saving feature in the watch helps too by which the battery can live up to 20 days.

As stated earlier, the watch monitors the heart rate. It also has PPG censors which alerts the user if there’s an issue with the help. There is also SPo2 to measure the blood oxygen level. There are 14 sports mode in the watch. Few of these are Badminton, Cricket, Indoor Running, Outdoor Running, Walking, and Yoga, among others. It also monitors the sleep and sleep cycle of a person.

The cost of the watch is ₹3,999 and will be available on the Realme website, offline stores, and Flipkart from June 5 at 12 PM. Fashioned strap of the watch will be sold separately in the color variant of red, blue, and green at ₹499 each.
