SC Judgment Likely This Week: Telecom Firms Await SC Verdict On AGR Dues

The SC reserved its judgment on the difficulty of recovery of AGR dues from insolvent telecommunication firms.

The Supreme Court (SC) on August 24 detected the adjusted income (AGR) case. telecommunication firms, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and others had appealed to the Supreme Court to permit them to create staggered payments of their adjusted income dues.

The SC reserved its judgment on the difficulty of recovery of AGR dues from insolvent telecommunication firms. The judgment will clarify if there’s any extra liability for Jio and Airtel on account of past dues of Reliance Communications (RCom) and Videocon.

Since Justice Arun Mishra is thanks to retire on Sep 2, a judgment is probably going among subsequent seven operating days.

On August 21, the court had reiterated its request for details spectrum shared by insolvent firms.
