While Nokia will bring its 5G expertise, Google Cloud will serve as the platform for launching applications and assist customers in building an ecosystem of services.
The company in its invitation said that the announcement will offer something “that has never happened in the smartphone industry before.” It has also posted a few teasers of a new phone.
But $14.1 million is a small part of the $370 million funding by NASA. Companies like SpaceX and United Launch Alliance get the major share of $53.2 million and $86.2 million respectively.
