Has the lockdown been any good to anybody? For Tata Consultancy Services, yes! The Work From Home model has been profitable for TCS, according to the CEO of India’s largest IT company(TCS) Rajesh Gopinathan. Hence, the company is looking forward to implementing the new working style very soon.
The Work From Home working style which was enforced due to the pandemic will be happily accepted by the company post lockdown.
According to Rajesh Gopinath, only 25% of the employees will be present in the office, rest 75% will work from home. This is because virtualization is believed to be working for more than being in the workplace
This model will be called 25/25 and is focussed on ensuring 100% productivity. The greatest advantage is that it’ll use less office space and result in more productivity.
Thoughts on the new work pattern is because the TCS MD noticed the stats during the lockdown. SBWS has seen 35,000 meetings, 4 L calls and 340 lakh messages.
The model will be fully implemented by the year 2025. According to the MD, this model might work well because it is less risky and better suited for business agility.
Experts also say that the new working model which will be implemented by TCS will further be used by other IT companies too. .
