Watch: 1st Vande Bharat High-Speed Train Crosses Odisha Rail Tragedy Site

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was present at the accident site and waved to the drivers when the semi-high speed train passed through, the officials said.

Balasore, Odisha: The first high-speed passenger train – Howrah-Puri Vande Bharat Express – after the triple train accident, passed through Balasore this morning on restored tracks, officials said.

Vande Bharat Express crossed the Bahanaga Bazar Station around 9:30 am today, they said.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw was available at the mishap site and waved to the drivers when the semi-rapid train went through, the authorities said.

The reclamation work of both the up-line and down-line tracks was finished on Sunday night, Mr. Vaishnaw said.

A coal-loaded products train from Vizag port to Rourkela Steel Plant ran on the track at around 10.40 pm on Sunday night. The merchandise train ran on a similar track. Trains are going through the mishap site at a slow speed.

The Coromandel Express collided with a fixed merchandise train, wrecking a large portion of its mentors at 7 pm on June 2.

A couple of mentors of Coromandel brought down the last couple of mentors of the Bengaluru-Howrah Express which was passing by simultaneously.

Examiners are investigating conceivable human blunders, signal disappointment, and other potential causes behind the three-train crash.
